One of the major and the longest annual festival of Hindus which is Bada Dashain or simply Dashain marked its end this past Thursday. It concluded yesterday and it was the final day of the 15 day celebration of Dashain which is called Kojagrat Purnima.

Kojagrat Purnima is the last day for receiving Tika and blessing from the elders and relatives. Generally, Nepalese people receive Tika  from the elders from the 10th day of Dashain which is simply called Vijaya Dashami. This simply keeps on continuing for the next five days.

Kojagrat Purnima is actually the full moon day when devotees worship the Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity Laxmi. This day also marks the beginning of preparation for Tihar which is another greatest festival of Hindus.
